Perfect albums: Albums that go 10/10

So I've been seeing these lists lately where folks discuss what they consider is a perfect album: basically, where there is absolutely no filler but all killer and something you could sit and listen to beginning to end without a skip.

Mostly it's been metal but I've seen some rock albums tossed in that mix as well. And so, me and my wife were kinda discussing this between each other of what is a "perfect album"? But there's a few off hand I can think of but I'm sure there are many more if I really gave it much thought.

In no particular order for me:

Iron Maiden "Piece of Mind"
Killswitch Engage " As Daylight Dies"
Queensryche "Operation:Mindcrime"
Judas Priest " Screaming For Vengeance"
Megadeth "Rust In Piece"
Guns N Roses " Appetite For Destruction"
Jimi Hendrix " Are You Experienced?"
AC/DC "Back In Black"
Black Sabbath "Paranoid"
Rolling Stones " Sticky Fingers"

So, what would be some of your 10/10s aka Perfect Albums? There are no wrong answers!

I’ll work on this and get back to you.

My approach would cover more depth in the catalogs.
Led Zeppelin, first 4
Iron Maiden , I like the first 5 but 7 is possible.
Megadeth , first 4
Priest, Sad Wings to Uleashed. Add Vengence and Pain killer.
Rush , first 7 add Moving Pictures.
UFO, 74-79 Chrysalis years.
#1 Force It.
Short list. Lol
Scorpions. Nearly no one will agree but ,
74-79
Fly to the Rainbow - Lovedrive.

First ones that come to mind. I did take liberties with number. Adds up to be more than 10.

Paranoid - Sabbath
Hi Infidelity - REO
Wheel are turning - REO
Tommy - The Who - all versions
Load - Metallica
Chicago
Chicago 3
Traveling Wilbur’s Vol 3
Kiss unplugged
ELP - almost any album
Nice mention on Hi Infidelity! That's a great one and an incredibly massive album. And I love the Tommy album

Yeah picking one Maiden album is like asking me to choose my favorite kid lol especially the first 7 which were just over the top. Rush could easily make any of my lists, especially Moving Pictures or 2112. And UFO Strangers In The Night IS the greatest live album as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly!
If I absolutely had to, I hate to pick .
Number of the Beast was a huge impact.
Of course Piece of Mind blew me away, it has always been a favorite but there is something about NOTB. Maybe the tone and recording engineering helped. I do tend to keep lyrics in mind as well as the obvious .

Totally agree with the Scorpions selections. Fly to the Rainbow is my favorite album of theirs.

Strangers in the Night by UFO is one of the best live albums of all time. Followed closely by Humble Pie's Rockin' the Fillmore, Motorhead's No Sleep 'til Hammersmith, Allman Bothers Live at the Fillmore, and Yessongs.

The first Uriah Heep record, "Very 'eavy, Very 'umble" and then "Demons and Wizards" are definitely two very perfect records.
