People Who Are On Their Cell Phones Constantly

I keep photos on my phone and some m,usic. I try not to use it to shoot too much cause frankly the cameras suck, comparatively.
That said, I text friends all the time. Not while walking or driving but it's a nice way to communicate when they or I might be too busy to talk, they can see it whenever and catch up.
I also use it to pay for things w G Pay
Internet?
Only if I am out and absolutely required. My browsing is on a tablet usually or the desktop.

We still have a land line at home. If someone wants to reach US as in myself or the Mrs or both, I might be out somewhere and she doesn't use her cell at all. So call the landline. We have multiple receivers, can always have one charging, more comfortable to talk on by far, it works very well for us.

We still had a land line up to several years ago. When a telemarketer called around 11:00 PM and woke us up.... my wife said no thank you and hung up. The guy called back two more times within minutes and basically harassed us. Unplugged the phone so he couldn't call again. At 8:00 the next morning I called ATT and pulled the plug. And yes. We were on the Do Not Call list. Not that that actually works.

I live downtown and walk everywhere. I cannot count the times that some fool or other has either almost or actually walked into me while dicking with their phone. Granted, I am a bit of an a-hole and won't move out of the way if an idiot is not watching where they are going.

If I need to make or take a message or e-mail while out and about I always stop walking and find an out of the way place to look at the phone.

it goes direct to voice mail
Yea, I did this for a while. Then I got in a jam when I took the vehicle to a new repair guy. Then there was the piano tuner guy. And the other guy. I missed some calls that would have made my life easier.

Guess I just need to remember to add the folks in a timely manner.

I get notified on missed calls. Even the ones that go direct to voice mail. I figure if it’s important they’ll leave voice mail. I will turn the ringer on if I’m expecting someone to call. Like the furnace repair guy. The car dealer that has my car…. That sorta stuff.

Also make sure it’s on if one of us is on the road or say the grocery store.
