Pedal Boards:

To quote a line from Money For Nothing:

"That's the way you do it!"
The GT1 isn’t as good as some of the toys out there. Obviously, Boss’s GT100 or whatever number they’re up to is light years better. The modeling software some of you guys are using is difficult to tell the difference between amp and sim…. But for what I do, the GT1 is good enough. If I want to play thru a Fender amp, I can do it. Or maybe an AC30. Etc.

Best thing. I can plug into my laptop and program whatever I want. Have 3 or 4 patches preprogrammed and change between each with a tap of a button.

I find the case most impotent for transport used a Pedaltrain-Pro for years in the soft case it falls over every time
switched to a Friedman 1530 Tour Pro great case set it on it's side when I transport my gear everything has a case
sad Friedman no longer makes pedal boards now it's a good kit buffer bay and power supply.

That's pretty much what I do with my X3 Live.

My iPad rig is different. Since the iPad is the processor as well as the interface, I build all my patches right on the iPad. No extra computer required.

In some ways I prefer the iPad because Bias FX2 allows for quite a bit of flexibility in how you build patches. Plus, you can buy expansion packs, so you pay for the stuff you actually intend to use. You can get pretty creative with it. The X3 Live doesn't allow for as much flexibility. But, I'm still a bit leery of using the iPad rig in harsher environments, so I use it for smaller, shorter, indoor events right now.

I may eventually get comfortable enough with it to use it in full gigs. But, I'm still nervous about full sunlight bearing down on it.

The big main one. Sorry for crappy tablet cam pic.

Smaller one for stages that cannot accomodate the big one comfortably. I have since mounted wireless on front and added a polytune.

I also have a tiny one with just essentials - I move the little wah amd wireless from board 2. I just add a mini OD and a Zoom Multistomp single space multi pedal. It covers most stuff I need. Thia is for say a single set at a fast setup timed event or the small pub. No pic.
