Peavey classic 50 chassis removal

I concede the amps---- but the old guitars are awesome. :)

so I shall chant with you "F" PEAVEY amps made in China ......(lol) --sorry small caveat ;)

I have a Classic 30.
It's a good sounding amp.
(once you change the muddy speaker)
Runs hot but all EL-84 amps seem to do that,
at least the ones I have owned.
 
What happens if you connect the AC fan leads to the pilot light leads?
Just a stray thought...
Want to upgrade to a Peavey 50 4x10? Forum brother pricing!!!

The fan changes speed in standby, so proabably best to stick to the standard wiring.

I second that observation! I had a Vintage 30 kicking around(I hated it in an Orange 1x12 cab I picked up cheap...all fat and flubby in there). Boom! That little Classic 30 was a whole new animal.

I think the stock fan is AC. Can't you find an OEM as a replacement?
