So Kempers have them and HOTONE amperos have them and .............................
sub 150.00 valenton gp-100's have them and 140.00 and NUX MG30's have them

adn they sound like they dont suck................................with RECORDING interfaces..........loopers.....and DRUM MACHINES --- BUILT THE FVCK in ...............uhm.......................................

er ...........................................wow

I was just watching some videos (a couple posted above) and the point (before anyone gets panties in bunches) was not to slam Kemper -- it was to state that (I mean look at the NUX for instance) maybe the patches arent as QUALITY as a Kemper-- but (if I am understanding right) you can litterally do/interface/ record etc with 100's of pedals dozens of cab sims and amp models-- looper-- AND DRUM MACHINE--- and BASS models--all for 150.00 and up ......... thats BEGINNER level $ --
Also if I am correct-- you dont even NEED an amp and the NUX was said in one video to have to be adjusted to RUN TO A LIVE "RIG" its set from the factory to be a Guitar direct to DAW system ........wow

What an AMAZING time for gear we live in -- IMAGINE what these little multiboxes could have done in the hands of Jimmy Page -- or LEs Paul ........ and thanks to THEM for inventing and creating ..... so that WE can have all their ideas and 10000 times more in an 89.00 stomp pedal

No FX Loops on the NUX or Zoom!
I normally don't even look at a multi-effect unless it has an FX Loop onboard.
No FX Loop = No 4CM

But I did pick up a 2nd hand Zoom B1X Four, for my little V1 Rumble to play with.
Now that got me wondering coz I got it for only £59.
If I could find another one (preferably a plain B1 Four) I could have one before the Rumble and one in the loop!
One for comp, drive, NS, preamp. One for TBEs and cab sims. 2-part 4CM.
And the number of effects blocks goes up from a scant 5 to a spacious 10!

If I spot another one, I think I'll nail them both down onto a Pedaltrain Metro 16.

I think the idea is that you don't necessarily need an effects loop as the unit applies the time based effects after the drive/distortion, etc. All you have to do is run it into an amp set for flat response or the return of your loop equipped amp.
This will not work in all cases, of course, but SkyMonkey's idea of having two units solves this.

The Zoom ?1X Four range are good, but having only 5 effects blocks is really stifling.
I think NR, Comp, OD, Preamp, and Cab Sim are a minimum, and that's your 5 gone.
No TBE's!

uhm......................................................................

but with the NUX mg300 .....going straight to front of amp....(yu can adjust the output to accommodate front of amp combo front of amp stack -- back of amp (effects loop) combo back of amp stack .........)
I still have 7 options ......
Comp
EFX (distoritions)
EQ
Noise reduction
Modulation
Delay
Reverbs

plus wah or volume pedal (so 8/9) and all the amp sims (10) ........and cabs....... and mic options.............

have I mentioned I really like this thing?
