I have decided to part out one of my Silkyn Super 50 amps. If you don't know what it is you may not want any of it...But, if you have one and would like spare parts and such this may be for you.

I'm keeping the speaker and tubes. Everything else is up for grabs, ie...

Cabinet
Chassis
Components
Etc.

I'll remove any piece you're interested in.

PM me if you'd like any part of this...

Pictures on request!

Oh they are quite the beast. They were designed by Mike Soldano. They are two channel with the clean circuit designed after a Fender and the dirt channel after a Marshall.
He started a venture with these and it went bad due to a transformer snafu...

So what happened is...they decided to cheap out on the input power transformer and went Chinese instead of American. Every amp that was made had the flaw and have or eventually will
fail. A guy bought the entire lot and was supposed to part them out, but he sold them on eBay! So a bunch of us bought one or two or three...first guy being Kevin Paul.

We got with the original designer of the transformer and he made a batch order for us. I had one of my units repaired, but I'm too lazy to repair the second. I have the new
transformer, but I was going to sell it. If you like the idea of the whole enchilada I could sell the entire thing and you could have it repaired.

If you ask around you'll find a lot of people love this amp. I have two, Wav has two, Kevein Paul has one or two...and there are two HUGE threads on mylespaul.com about it...

I have a TON of info on them as well...

I have one, and my roommate made my replacement transformer disappear.

but...............uhm...................er.............oh :(
...and the power transformer is a weird, one off, custom spec job that you’re not likely to find a replacement for...ever.
Can you tell that I have a pile if Silkyn laying in my bench area for something to be built in to it?

But I’m not bitter.

I knew what I was getting into going into it. I have the replacement transformer for this amp, but I just don't want to deal with it.

Someone on MLP needs a transformer and I was going to sell my 2nd Onetics. But, if the guy flakes I'll sell the entire amp and let
someone else deal with the xformer replacement. If I part it out I'm keeping the speaker and the tube set...

How do you casually throw away a big transformer???
You don’t give a sh!t about anything that is sitting idle, and unknown. She had a helper that day, and I was at work.
It was in my breezeway, which she uses as seasonal storage...I keep a few things out there too, but it’s mostly her stuff. She decided to clean up. Likely her helper actually ditched it.

I gave up on MLP because my mobile browser kept getting jacked there last year(PITA).
I see now that Mercury is doing them on a made to order basis. Maybe I’ll inquire there.
