Papa's Got A Brand New Amp -

Hey my brother Robert .
Here are the settings on my Origin’s.
They are pretty close to the ones you posted earlier.
Only difference is that I have quit using the amps boost.

Cool, Man...I still have to hit mine with a TS-9 or I can't get anything out of it, even with the gain and boost wide open...

So, the Origin is turning out to be better than I anticipated. The only drawback is the amp is TOTALLY DEPENDENT on a clean boost or it just doesn't sound good. It absolutely has to be DIMED and BOOSTED to really get things moving, at least for my "style" of playing anyways.

Having said that, it has clean tones on par with a Twin Reverb, which shocked me.

I understand its not a PTP chassis, but can I ask which early amp is it most closely related to???

No I haven't. I am more of a high gain guy, it would serve no purpose in my stable.

By itself, you are 100% correct.

Remember that Angus Young's tone was forged by the clean boost of the Schaffer Wireless, so his JMP wouldn't sound the same without it.

This Origin 50H actually has a bigger, more naturally saturated tone than my DSL40C 's can produce, once the TS-9 comes into play.

George Lynch was another that relied heavily on a clean boost for his tone.

Yngwie is another...
