Mates, I somehow missed the boat on this! While doing a search for low wattage amps, I kept seeing these amazing amp creations made by Mister Owegi, one of our esteemed and groovy Tone Rooms colleagues. Are these one-off custom builds? Does Owegi take special orders? Does Owegi hold the golden key to finding the grail of tone mojo? Please, tell Goldmember more.

I think he has an amp or 2 on the market right now -------- PICS???? info??????

Come on "O" dont be shy ;)

I don't know how I missed this! It must have been during my recent move, yesh? I really dig the idea of an OwegiTone custom creation. ESGEg, the Little Sexy should have been named, "zee Little Shexshy!"

So GM---- if you where ot ORDER UP an amp--- what would be on the golden wish list?

tubes?
push pull knobs?

A clone --like a Fender Tweed?

do tell

Very good question, eSGEe! My golden wish list would include the following:
  1. 1 watt
  2. All valve
  3. No PCB
  4. FX loop
  5. 16 ohm speaker out
  6. Special "gold" switch for extra shexshy mojo (clean/crunch)
  7. Resonance control

Adrian calls Owegi the "amp whisperer" for good reason.
The cat knows his poop.
My opinion, he's the Jesus of gooched amps, he can raise the dead.
Fact.

Hey Goldmember thanks for thinking of me, man. But, to be honest I really only do the local for the hey of it type thing at the moment. However, a gold amp named Midas or similar is intriguing. Let things simmer in that cosmic space in my skull they call a brain for a bit. I appreciate the kudos from eESGe and Hackmaster - thanks. I just enjoy doing it, kind of bull dog'ish about it, and for the most part most people like what I do. I've had my oops moments too a few times just like everyone else though - stupid human tricks and all, ya know what I mean - welcome to the human race ;)

Owegi, your talent is something of which to be very proud! I know what you mean by "the hey of it." Believe it or not, I used to make intricately decorated fondant cakes for fun. I'd go wild with ideas, and it never felt stressful! However, when colleagues at work started asking me and offering to pay, it became a whole different task. I hit burn-out after making this insane, over-the-top Frankenstein cake for a child's Halloween birthday party several years ago, and haven't made another cake since then.

Making those decorative cakes is an art form all its own. Making food look like art takes a talent all it's own too. I do pretty good with eggs and a frying pan, red/black beans and rice from a box, etc - lol...

I can burn burgers and dead cow on the grill --- and lobster ---oooh I love me some grilled lobster tails..........

grilled lobster tail, man that sounds good, never had it. do you do anything special or just toss on the grill like you would a hot dog?

Hey Goldmember, any chance you have any pics of the stuff you used to make? It seems to be fairly common for people to lose their passion for their passion when business/money come into play. I'd like to do more, but at the moment I'm just not set up to. However, I do listen and keep my eye's out at flea markets and yard sales for things to make cabs out of, etc. I rent at the moment, so I don't have a lot of options. If I owned I could use my garage or buy a couple nice sheds or something to set up and work from. See what happens in the future.
