Ordering from the US...

I had fun in Korea....and the food was awesome...

Korea is pretty nice; I'm lucky to have a pretty ok life here, never spectacularly good, but never particularly tough or stressful, and the money keeps building up in the savings account...

I have a DHL package on it's way from Germany, so we'll se how long that takes - my guess is about 10-14 days.

The hub system; pencil pushers say it makes the company money, but it's so frustrating for folks in the US to see some goods which are close to go travelling around the country rather than coming to them directly. I feel your pain!

Hey trident, I don't think it's the companies, it's the hub system and the way the US and Korean customs work. I have gotten stuff from the UK in three days, but never quickly from the US. The pickups I got from America took 24 days, and did a very strange thing, they first went to Redondo beach then were transferred into a DHL package; I was told this was a new ebay approach to get stuff from the US to Korea more quickly. But, it was slowed down in Redondo beach/Compton for 6 days before being sent out of the US. It then went through Korean customs quickly (this is a big problem with both UPS and USPS - can stay at Korean customs forever with their own useless procedures...), but then got to my local office in the middle of a CoronaVirus outbreak, so instead of being delivered in the usual 24 hours it took 4 days. Clearly US sellers and ebay are aware that they are losing business due to shipping issues (when I contacted the seller he specifically stated this to me), but their attempt at improving it didn't work for me this time around.

That'll be great, what pedal did you get?
Zvex Mastotron. The most spitty velcro fuzz, also a regular silicon fuzz, and everything in between.

Fantastic! That's gonna be amazing. :dood:

I've never owned any Zvex pedals. I did order and pay for one once, from P£%^@xe, a SuperDuper (which is a couple of Hard Ons), but it never arrived, never got a refund, no support from the company or USPS... Never bought from that company again... To be fair, it was my fault to a fair degree, Paypal used my Thai address, and I didn't double check, and I'm in Korea, nobody was at the Thai house to take collection. By the time I worked that out, the pedal had disappeared, not delivered by Thai Post, sent for some reason to a Chinese depot, then when I started to ask USPS all online tracking disappeared and they wouldn't help, nor would the store. I just had to suck up the loss.

Who knows, maybe Guitar Center will send my used pedal to your Thai house.

When is my damn stuff arriving???
(Big huff, almost female in it's veracity...)

My amp still has not been sighted on these shores - that's two weeks and counting.

Pedal 1: Three weeks and counting, not been spotted by Korean immigration yet.

Pedal 2: Was spotted at Korean customs 3 days ago, then nothing (often comes within 24 hours). Kinda pointless arriving before the amp comes, as this is my gooser.

Pedal 3: Not even left the factory yet with no 'manufacture' date available...

&, to top it all, Chubbles pedal never arrived to me, went straight to his house; most unreasonable...

Damn, damn and damn. I have time, the virus has set work back three weeks, so I'm at home going stir crazy. Where is my damn amp!!!

That's the Beauty of having a large guitar store in my city, Its the largest in the area. If they don't have it in the store, its a week or less once they order the item, no worries.

This is Yargnad great that you are taking lessons, it can make you a better player in all areas. Wish you all the best in working out your life situation. I have been taking lessons now for just over 5years, as of last year I take them through the winter months only once a week. I play some gigs through the winter months, I practice 2 hrs a day, as I always say ( practice makes permanent ) I have a great Instructor, we are the same age, he likes the same music I like, Classic Rock. For the first 3 years out of the 5 I had a different Instructor, he did teach me some good things, but we parted ways, he wanted me to do things his way. Now I have a guy who is tough on me at times which is good, but he teaches me what I want to learn after all , I am paying him. He has taught me much and the main thing he makes it fun and when its fun you learn more. $65 dollars is a good deal for your lessons. I pay $80 Rick is worth it to me.

Great kudos to youdos, on taking lessons!

I should take lessons, but I dont, or have not as of yet.
I really dont have time for anything, sadly.

Been playing 5 years now too, @Session 5.
I am in NO way ready to play anything to entertain others, paid or not.
Pay me to stop maybe.

It's almost funny how bad the American postal service is, almost...

Look at this rooting:

Hard to imagine such - I don't even know what word to use... But, it seems to be going on a road trip, I wonder if it will ever leave the US...
