I was just saying in another thread that the MacGuyver technique was underappreciated when it comes to computers. #hivemindefficiency

I've got hot glue on the inside holding the power plug connector in place, the screen baffle thingy is held on with packing tape, a piece of wood glued onto the bottom (below where the duct tape is, a corner piece glued on. There's essentially no fan grill left - you can look inside the laptop. The screen, hard drive, keyboard, and dvd drive have all been replaced - but it keeps on a go'n... Wife says I need a new one - I'm like, but I need an output transformer, or tubes, or... It's a glowing object - it works - that's all I care...

I once repaired a sears push mower deck with J-B Weld-- worked better than the original "real weld" !
