Ok which one of you guys

forgot to put your clock ahead one hour last night Lol! not me, I'm on time as usual...
Nope. Not me. Set the ones that needed setting.... except i just remembered the programmable thermostats... In fact, just happened to be awake just before the time change. Picked up my phone..... 1:58, 1:59, 3:00. Awesome. Just lost an hour of sleep I already wasn't getting.

Actually. We'd just spent a week in Eastern Time Zone so in reality we'd already kind of adjusted to Daylight Savings Time in Central Time Zone. Business as usual.

As many of you know, they want to stop the time change in some parts of the northern hemispere . They need New York and Quebec on board. I am sure New York will comply, but Quebec not sure, they would defy gravity..

Did mine this morning.
Biggest pain in my ass is the 1909 time card clock.

You can't just move the hands around.
The clock on the top is connected to the time card mech in the bottom with a driveshaft.
I don't punch in and out, but I like the little day of the week / AM-PM dials to be correct.
Easiest way to set it is to just stop the pendulum, and wait for 6 days and 23 hours...
Fall time change is easier - just need to stop it for an hour.

My wife's parents had a Grandfather clock. And from what I remember, like you say.... you just can't move the hands. Just not that easy to adjust time. Cool clock though.

Which reminds me. I also need to change time on my watch.

Yes, clocks with complex chimes are a bit of a pain.
There's a way to do it, but it involves advancing the chime cycle.

Not our fault. Time zones get set by longitudes (more or less). It's a long country from coast to coast. We have 4 on the mainland and one more that does Hawaii and Alaska.

Interesting.

I had quick looksee, and was shocked by France (13), kinda expected Russia to have loads, and you lot have 11!

I wonder how many Britain at the height of it's empire? I reckon, maybe, 20/20+???

I'm liking the idea of 1 nation 1 timezone... :)

I guess if you account for all the territories each country counts, then it adds up. I was just thinking the 50 states. For that we have five. Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific and Hawaii. Looking at this list, Alaska must be enough west of the Hawaiian islands to have its own time zone. So make that (6) zones for the 50 states.

Canada has 6 time zones..

Do you punch in when you get home? Lol
Cool machine.

I usually remember but flat forgot this morning. My phone always does it automatically and so does the satellite TV, so I thought I just slept a lil later than normal until I saw the walk clock. Knew then I got robbed and it was early lol

Time means nothing to me except meeting the ETA, in my own time zone its called 24/7 Mobil Auto locksmith lol

5th best day in Co history yesterday, non stop ,actually have lost concept of "normal" life..Have been in the middle of Susquehanna river on boat, screamed to dock, loaded on trailer & went & did a call with the boat attached to jeep. Finally This summer Tuesday noon to 4 pm..my time. Will dispatch but will not go do a call.

New England should be in the Atlantic time zone with New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Labrador, and Newfoundland. We're too far east to be in the Eastern zone, but they want the Boston and New York financial markets in the same time zone.

Indiana played games with time zone as well. West side of Indiana is central even though it’s even with western Michigan. Michigan is all in Eastern Zone. Going east from Illinois border one does hit eastern time in Indiana till almost Indianapolis.
