I will start , I have tried many amps and continue to try them out, but the one so far for me is this 35RT SS, its easy to move around, reliable , the tones are great and packs a punch. has more power than I need, It has an impressive 10" speaker, this thing rocks in its class.
Well in that comparo---- I gotta say --- after owning both ---both are good----the Peavey has more CHUG than the orange ---(also has like 50 more watts---)
the ORange sounds like an Orange--
the Peavey can sound like a peavey or a PLEXI
and --- if Im not mistaken its a 10" speaker VS a 12 ---so its not really a "fair" comp.
You have to admit Adrian that Orange held its own against that Peavy. The Peavy should have walked all over that Orange, but it didn't that's a good review for the Orange 35RT in my opinion.
uhm--- dont get yer maple scented drawers in a bunch S5--
the Orange is a GREAT amp-- Id have another in a heart beat (for the right $ of course) --hell Im on the look out for a CRUSH BASS 25 as we speak
At the higher volumes and gain the peaveys highs stay clear while the CHUG (that actually vibrates floors like a bass amp) is still there---
the Orange gets FUZZY and starts to get a little farty and the highs suffer---BUT again thats a knife to a gun fight the PEavey has a 2" larger speaker and 50 extra watts---
Im actually using my ORANGE right now (lol) SEE!
ITs my first "personal" preset and I love it---
would I do "contest" between it (8" speaker ORange Model) vs the 112 Peavey sitting under it???? ---no --- they each are different weapons for different uses
