OK, i'm here!

Thanks!
i'm at 4.8k and still climbing!
This one's from yesterday:
Cherokee (day 3)

(i do the 'straight ahead' thing sometimes too)
Cherokee is an excellent tune, but the bass is Un hear able...
why don't you re-mix these tunes and bring up the bass so we can hear the playing?
You are playing bass? or did you play everything?
You need to work on the mix and balance out the instruments better.
Other than that I can hear some pretty tasty playing....but it's being buried.

Thanks for listening and for the input, but i'm only playing the guitar there.
The bass is part of a pre-mixed 'piano trio' Band In A Box backing track, but it comes through pretty well on my Sony MDR-7502 headphones.
It also sounds good through the speaker system in my car.
Are you hearing the bass buried in the mix on this one also?

PC > FocusRite > Denon > Micca RB42 speakers.

I hear the bass fine. It sits a little back but it is leaving room for others. Cherokee does have the bass a little further back.

Thanks for listening and getting back to me.
i always listen through headphones or in-ears unless i'm in my car and my mixes are keyed to that,
but hopefully things still come across OK when my stuff gets played back on other systems.
i appreciate the feedback!

You should rename it "Far Above The Usual Standards" E. I really need to pick up a guitar, I haven't played for almost a year.
You are far too kind, my friend ...
and the Good Sisters made a point of telling me that i needed to learn both patience and humility on more than one occasion.
i'm still a work in progress in those respects even after all these years, but i try to do the best i can.
And yes, you should pick up a guitar again, and sooner rather than later.
i always enjoyed hearing you play.
