Ok, I’m excited.

Stringed it up and gave it a quick setup today. Plays very well, no fret buzz, and nice and low action. Filed the nut a bit, and it now stays nicely in tune when using the Vibrola. It can't really take dive-bombs, but I don’t play that way anyway.

Of course you did! :D

I mean, who is gonna just sit around and leave it - certainly not Gahr!

That's really good news - we have a winner... :dood:
Yeah, when I have the parts on hand, I am incapable of waiting. Don’t know when I’ll have the rest of the parts, though. But knowing myself, I guess I’ll have a working guitar before long. The long term project is getting all vintage parts, though.

Sold another pedal today, phaser I never use, and blew the money right away on a wiring harness and a poker chip. Those will be the last parts I need (a tenon cover and backplate are en route from the US). The wiring and poker chip were bought from a Norwegian store, so they will probably be i my mailbox before the weekend. It's getting close to completion.

The wiring harness is pretty nice, an Emerson custom kit with CTS pots, Emerson Bumblebee caps (.022 uf in the bridge, .015 uf in the neck) and Switchcraft jack and switch. All my other guitars have .022 uf caps for all pups, so it will be interesting to see if I notice any differences. I have some .022 uf caps lying around, so I'll just swap it if I don't like it.

Picked up the wiring harness and installed it on Thursday. Working perfectly. The pots are really smooth, and there is seemingly no hum in anything. The slug tape I use fro shielding works perfectly. The only things remaining are the backplate and tenon cover. I recon I'll have them here Monday or Tuesday, as long as the transport is not affected by the corona virus. Here's how things look at the moment:

HOLY F'N WOW... :kewl:

I love a .015 cap for a humbucker's neck tone. The range it sets is perfect for my tastes. I also like that special resonance kick it creates when the tone control with a .015 cap is zeroed out... It's like a little extra gain blooms into the mids for that sweet singing Woman-tone... :dood:

Being laid off, I’ll have plenty of time to test out if I like the .015uF cap. If not, I have a couple of spare .022 ones.

Uhm... What do you mean by "Being laid off"?
I have been temporarily laid off from work because of the corona virus restrictions imposed by the government here in Norway. All bars, kindergartens and schools were closed yesterday. This means the brewery has lost 80 % of its income, and thus most of the workforce has been laid off for at least 14 days.
