Oh, the 60's

After listening to DONP's David Watts song, He gets honorable mention for getting a comparable qualifying answer. David Watts will work, but my FA FA song is a different example and different tune.

Me being born in 1958, I was at the tender age of 8 years old when The Monkees hit the TV screen. I had heard the Beatles, but really got into music with Mike, Davey, Micky & Peter. My father bought me there first four albums and I thought that they were the greatest. With a cool car like the Monkeemobile and guitars, I found my two loves in one show! To this day I still love fast cars and sweet guitars.

I had a few Beatles 45s and a toy record player.

My hair was long enough to chew on. I was misidentified as a skinny girl all he time. I idolized hippies to some extent. They were right about the environment: Them, and Native Americans.

I remember putting a flower power sticker (from a pack of gum) on my bike.

The Danish singer/rocker Kim Larsen (probably the greatest artist ever in any of the Nordic countries, sadly he passed away this fall) was asked in an interview on Norwegian television what was his favorite line from any song. Larsen was known for writing really good lyrics, but answered without hesitation or a himt of irony: «Oh, without doubt the Be-Bop-A-Lula line by Gene Vincent.»

HAHA Grant, My first 2 loves were Mrs Miller my 2nd grade teacher and Laura Lippy when I was 8 years old.

You do know that I was talking about fast cars and sweet guitars as my two loves, right? I had crushes on teachers at school too. In 6th grade I bought my teacher a huge bottle of perfume for Christmas that I saw advertised on TV. I had no idea what it smelled like or if she ever wore it.

Haha! If it was a huge bottle and you could afford it as a kid, I'm guessing I know how it smelled...
