I was listening to my copy of Physical Graffiti and suddenly realized that both the LP and my old thrift store leather jacket are both made in ‘77.

They should never have stopped making these pointy collars. Or mass production vinyl records. Or carburetors. Hell, time should have stopped in December, 1979.

Uh... with CBS having sold the rights to FMIC a couple of years earlier, that is

Serg, PG was released in 1975. Bought the album when I was in college.

Indeed but my copy was pressed in '77. Most of my Zep albums were, except for the Led 1 (1972), the ITTOD (1979) and the CODA (1982).

This one is the best guitar I've ever played.

One thing I've learned is that each guitar is an individual, and you can find jewels and dogs within any series or eras. Most of my guitars are US made standards, but I've seen and played good and bad ones among budget Squiers and CS boutique builds. Of course, good and bad are also subjective ideas, leaving out construction flaws and playability issues.

Finding a good sounding guitar is like finding a good sounding guitar amp rare. I have found through the school of hard knocks
they have it or they don't changing pickups hardware is a waste of time.

?? oops serial #'s checked... 78 and 79 things come and go round here so fast its hard to keep up--- thanks for the AGE check Don. ;)

whats the Merlot burst then ??? shes a 70's era I believe....

but not the serial # .......
great damn bass man
That’s all that has mattered. Every time I play it, it slays. Just such a great, and versatile, instrument. I’ve never cared to look up when it came from, or if it’s all original, or whatever.
I’ll say this, it’s the only T-45 I’ve ever seen without a blade pickup...and I don’t give a $#!t. That may be why this thing thumps AND growls.
