Oh, No, Not Jeff!!!!

Man....this one SUCKS ASS!! I have said more times than I can count, that Jeff Beck was the greatest living guitarist and probably second only to Jimi Hendrix in my opinion of all time. Now, he has joined Jimi and all the other legends but we lost a truly massive, insanely talented, unimaginably influential guitarist.......

Absolutely devastating, man. Completely f*cking sucks anyway you slice it........

I have Truth/Beck-o-la, Blow by Blow, Wired and Flash in my LP collection. I too am saddened pretty deeply by Becks passing.

Also I figured I'd drop pics of this acid-inspired handbill I took in trade years ago, from the Summer of '68 I need to get framed somehow. The front of this handbill promotes the Yardbirds after Jimmy Page was left as lone guitarist for the band after Beck suddenly quit the previous summer It was Page who had recommended the Yardbirds pick up Beck after Clapton left for the Bluesbreakers then Cream.

But, this was one of the Yardbirds final gigs before the band imploded and Page formed The New Yardbirds, which soon after became Zeppelin.

It's interesting that on the reverse side of the handbill the Jeff Beck Group also featuring Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood was slated to rock the venue a couple months later after the Yardies

Found some audio of that very show Thanks Youtube! This is fuggin' history baby! Some would say this is Zeppelin before Zeppelin
a brand new '68 burst paul, note he's already removed the neck pup cover to reveal the first Zebra ever seen ASFAIK

I'm told the autograph on the card is none other than Wilt the Stilt, famous for one thing, oh and basketball too, of course
All this pretty fresh in my mind as I recently finished this bio of Led Zep - I'm a bit of a sucker for rock history, and Beck is certainly
has his place in it, though it seems clear he was a bit of an outlier in his younger days, (weren't we all?), and as he matured he
settled down a bit personality wise, but never seemed to settle as an artist, that's for sure.
