OH GOD HELP ME! I DID IT AGAIN......

This would be my 3rd time having to see him in just over 19 months. At this rate? She owes me a new Marshall Stack lmao
Wait!!
What do you mean 3rd time?!?!?
When was the second time???
Why did you hide that from us …. Never mind, sort of answered my own question.

This time I want all the details of your journey to see “The Band that Shall not be Named”
Don’t leave anything out. Don’t leave anything out! It should read like an epic adventure to Mordor!

Here are some lyrics I thought of today while I’m at the trampoline park with my grandson.

The Road to Dave"
(A Song About Mike’s Reluctant Journey to See The Dave Matthews Band)

(Verse 1)
I’m sittin’ behind the wheel, tryin' to keep it cool,
I’d rather be anywhere than this road I gotta cruise.
The sun’s burnin' hot, I’m stuck on this ride,
My wife’s got a smile and I’m feelin’ it inside.

She says, "You’ll love it, just give it a try,"
I know every song will make me wanna cry,
I never thought I'd drive this far,
Just to hear a band who strums the same guitar.

(Chorus)
I’m on my way to Cincinnati, can’t stand this tune,
She’s got the tickets, now I'm hummin' a different tune,
I’d rather be anywhere, but stuck in this damn car,
Heading to see Dave Matthews, it’s a trip too far.

(Verse 2)
She’s singing along, she in a dance,
I’d rather hear silence or put me in a trance,
But there’s no escape, the radio’s set,
And every chord he plays, I’m feelin' more upset.

The miles are long, the coffee’s gone,
The closer we get, the more I long,
For a show with some rock or a band that’s loud,
Not this mellow vibe that’s lost in the crowd.

(Chorus)
I’m on my way to Cincinnati, can’t stand this tune,
She’s got the tickets, now I'm hummin' a different tune,
I’d rather be anywhere, but stuck in this damn car,
Heading to see Dave Matthews, it’s a trip too far.

(Bridge)
She says, "Honey, you’ll like it, just wait and see,"
But I’m counting down the minutes, trying to break free,
I’d rather hear silence or some heavy rock,
Than songs that put me right to sleep on the clock.

(Chorus)
I’m on my way to Cincinnati, can’t stand this tune,
She’s got the tickets, now I'm hummin' a different tune,
I’d rather be anywhere, but stuck in this damn car,
Heading to see Dave Matthews, it’s a trip too far.

(Outro)
As the lights come on, I try to hold on tight,
The crowd’s getting loud, and maybe tonight,
I’ll crack a smile, the music is trivial,
Though deep down I know, I’ll never hear the end from LiveeviL

Lol technically this is the 3rd time. That first time was TWO nights of that and the infamous roach motel story ( it was was TWO roach motels, left one just to wind up in another: The Royal Inn and then a Super 8 which by the way ended up costing me $307 a night since everywhere else was booked up after the first place was a bust. What moron DOES that? THIS moron, that's who lmao ) and I will sleep in a Greyhound Bus Station before I ever go back to Super 8 as long as I live lol

Bwahahah EPIC

Then there’s always this:

“On August 8, 2004, a tour bus belonging to Dave Matthews Band dumped an estimated 800 pounds (360 kg) of human waste from the bus's blackwater tank through the Kinzie Street Bridge in Chicago onto an open-top passenger sightseeing boat sailing in the Chicago River below. The incident became popularly known as the Dave Matthews Band incident[1] or Poopgate.”

Yes. A tour boat full of people was passing under the bridge as they dumped their load…. On top of the people on the boat. It was a mess.

Oh don't you think for one second I don't keep this particular tidbit in my back pocket for when it's necessary to use. My wife will go on about how Dave Matthews is this super nice guy and how all of his fans are the best people.

So when she or those fans get a little too high and mighty? I remind them of Poopgate and I hear the groans lmao

Twenty years later that story still occasionally comes up on local news.
