Same here. I do like his sound. After awhile, though, the dad rock starts to wear on me a little. I go through periods where I really like this sort of stuff, but then I’ll put on something else.

That's how I unfortunately feel about the vast majority of GMs music. Just cannot get my head into the game with "white blooze" and that's expecially true when they break out the horn section. One of the all-time great players that ever lived but I would have appreciated him so much more if he had rocked more and blues'd less.

I really dig the horns in a few of his songs, but i still like to listen to heavier stuff. I guess i flip around a lot as a listner????

Oh man, I am all over the place as a listener. I had on Sasquatch on my way to the office this morning, listening to Thievery Corporation now and as likely as not to put on some Bluegrass or Jazz after lunch.

Years ago I decided I needed an education in Blues since so much of what I listened to borrowed from it, and it in turn from what came before. So I dove into the deep end. I would not say I ever became an outright fan of Blues but I did come to respect some of the masters. One thing that remained constant is I absolutely could not stand anything with horns in it.
 
I'm not a big Phish fan, but I like some of Trey's collaborations and solo work. I knew his current drummer when he was still living in Salem. His tone on this song with the band Goose is amazing.

 
I love how heavy Patrick Lachman's rhythm guitar is during Mike's solo.

This is fooking-fantastic live tone, hammering your senses with resonance.
