The nylon saddles I have are also notched. Maybe, it never had a proper setup when originally purchased.

Due to the narrow nature of the ABR-1 bridge, reversing the saddle can shift the intonation point, so you can flip saddles as required based on the "behaviour" of a particular instrument.

The guitar has barely been touched and it was in storage for nearly 50 years. I don't see why they would have change the saddles, but it's possible...

Did some digging on the Grover Tuners. They are Grover Futura's made from around 1958 to 1969.

Found sets selling from $175 all the way to $350. I guess they are worth as much as the Gibson Deluxe
branded Kluson Tuners that originally came on the guitar!

Extra screw hole and indents from the original Kluson tuners.

I picked up a set of original Kluson tuners to make the guitar period correct, but I think I'll
play it with the Grover tuners on and see how I like it...

Shoulder is still in a sling and immobile for 6 weeks...I'm dying to let loose on the new SG. I have to lay it flat in my lap to even attempt
the slightest strum, but it sounds like it's going to be a good one. Pretty loud acoustic sound.
