I don't think it's even that, judging from how they list the colors it's just a walnut colored finish.

But the idea of an SG made of walnut seems like a good one to me. This isn't it,
but the idea remains. Some years ago, Gibson announced a contest: To design the NBT
(the next big thing, of course)... Winners would have their design executed by the
custom shop, and receive it as payment... but the design (and the millions of dollars generated by sales of the next big thing) would belong to Gibson.
Hah... many of us were cynical about entering an arena such as this, but we did it
anyway, for fun. My design was designated "The SFG..."
and called for a walnut body, oil finished like a gunstock, a mahogany neck "for tone..."
'57 Classic and Classic + pickups, 500k CTS pots, Mallory caps, switchcraft toggle and jack,
blued steel pick guard and TRC, Ebony 0-11 knobs, ebony fretboard, bone nut and switch knob, black bridge and
p'up covers, blued steel switch washer with engraved "Neck" and "Bridge" in silver and a silver barbed wire
inlay on the headstock.
My design didn't win. *shrugs
But it remains as an excellent guitar design, only waiting for a sugar daddy with more money than
brains to back it. I'm not holding my breath... and I own excellent guitars to pull me through.

The 1979 "The SG" was actually walnut(wood...not just the color), with an ebony board, a T-top, and a Velvet Brick.
Ahhhhhh yesssss....with one of those velvet bricks, you could adjust it up, and/or down like....until you're happy n stuff.

I don't know if the above pic is intended to depict a "The SG", but I'm not sure it is.
A "The SG" had an overlay the same color as the guitar body (walnut color) and the truss rod cover was engraved with "The SG".
The pickup selector is in the same position normally found in the "The SG" guitars. But, the headstock overlay is different.

That's a '79 Norlin-era SG
Gotcha. But, you quoted @Thatbastarddon's post so I thought you were trying to show a pic of a "The SG".
Bear in mind, there is no single, definitive example of Norlin era SGs. There were several variants in that time period.
