Number 1 with a bullet?

If the Fender Bullet series geetars are getting so much better why all the levels of quality ???? Id go back to the Fender Srandard Series and the Squire Series. I mean the Bullet is prolly as good as the Squire so whats the point ? Marketing ? Just saying and thinking with my morning coffee.Probably should quit thinking haha

I'm not sure if they are getting any better or worse. They do seem relatively reasonable for sure, especially for the price.

well its a cut and painted slab of wood......a decent maple neck with a working truss rod......and my thinking originally was --- I can "swap out" anything that is subpar on it----- but ---- EVERYTHING works....the pups sound fine......bridge one is a TAD weak.....but not a deal breaker by any stretch......

yup--- it can stay whole--- and rock out for years as it is......not a damn thing "subpar" hell it is acoustically more vibrant than many other guitars I own strum a c chord unplugged and the wood vibrates......you FEEL it in your belly---- I have other guitars costing 3 times as much that dont feel like that........

I LIKE that in a guitar --- I like this guitar..... price points and names be damned

Not sure I understand this whole thread and I am a tad tired which makes me not able to concentrate lately. But, my number 1 with 2 sweet T Top bullets is my Epi Les Paul in my AV. It feels and sounds so sick to play. I love it even for an Epi that started out with warts and slowly I have been working on fixing those too.

just cruising the G.A.S.eous highways an G.A.S. stations with y'all... I like some of these items,
but ya gotta watch what you click on. I found this and did ye classic double take:

G&L Limited Edition Tribute ASAT Classic Ash Body Electric Guitar

So this is an Asian made copy of the G & L "improved" Telecaster... for $350!
But it's like esg says, a guy could rebuild what ever seemed low class and end up with a lovely thing
that sounds as good as it looks. That ash body looks great to me, and would sit nicely on deck beside
my ash body bass... All that tele needs is an ebony pick guard... *grins ...with a hum bucker.

lol I was thinking pearloid PG ....."ashtray cover" and a HOT lipstick pup in the neck........ lol

Squier bullets are solid guitars. You gotta change the tuners with some $12 Musiclily tuners and you're good to go. Bullets have a wider nut than the Affinity series...42mm instead of 40mm. $99-$149 you can't beat the price for the guitar you get.

Sounds like we kinda agree.

I think there is something about the springs in the strat design that help make it special. I'm just remembering the first time I played one (many decades ago).

THIS DUDE really likes telecasters/

John5 --- I guess telecasters arent just for country anymore

John 5 is a versatile guitarists. Even helped out with the last Lynyrd Skynyrd album, God & Guns. Bit different from Marilyn Manson. Says he was raised on Hee Haw. Cheers

And he is a big Real Estate investor/developer.......again not what one would expect from the Marilyn Manson guitarist........I guess GOTH make up, tattoos and weird colored contacts can transition to the board room.......the many dimensions of life......

Wow, never would have thought. Just goes to show not to judge a book by its cover. Speaking of the GOTH make up etc, I read in an interview with the guys from Skynyrd that when they first met him he turned up at the studio straight from a Manson show, in full regalia, they really were'nt sure what to make of him. That's when he told them he was raised on Hee Haw. Cheers

Premier Guitar Magazine has an article on him this month ---confirms the HEE HAW influence......as does the BUCK OWENS paint job on his Telecaster in the pic above front row second from right.

I sure love my AVRI 1952 Tele which I bought back in 2006 during Fender's 60th anniversary. It has the original 50's wiring which I love. I like John 5's Tele which looks real sharp in black...nice guy also.

In terms of replacement tuners for Squier guitars, I now really like the Fender Vintage style tuners. For 35 or 40 bucks, very nice, and no enlarging tuner holes. I've enlarged many to take 10mm tuners. I tried these on a much older Strat. I really like them. No stress. (Just a thought)
