Today I received my strap. Not just any strap. A strap crafted by the VooDoo man himself. A WELL-HUNG Strap
As soon as I unpacked it, I made a beeline to the Jamming Room. A few first impressions of the strap.
1) The craftsmanship is superb. You will not find anything it equal in any store.
2) The materials used are of excellent quality. The leather isn't some cheap piece of thin leather, it's got some substance to it. I can see this strap lasting for a long long time.
3) The padding makes it really comfortable. @TVvoodoo I have 5 more instruments, I see work in your future.
4) It's 3" wide and fills my shoulder, it doesn't dig in like my other straps which are thinner.

If you can, get one.
If you can't .... then you will not be able to brag about being WELL-HUNG!
Thank you @TVvoodoo for the hardwork and getting it to me before X-Mas!
Now I must go tell my wife how well hung I just became!!

I'm kind of baked after driving for about nine hours to edmonton and back in a semi blizzard. Many ditched vehicles were seen, even a couple overturned, which is somewhat rare
because most people up here do have some idea about inclement winter driving, but there's always some outliers, or folks think they are bulletproof. I catch myself chuckling
when I pass by some dudes $110,000 super lifted diesel mini monster truck on it's side. But I still hope only egos got injured. anyway, the smart thing to do would have been to just stay home. LOL
But thank you @LiveeviL2000 (who completely seems to contradict his name, by being just a great person), for the trust in sending you some of my handiwork for that badass vee
Go easy on your wife at first, don't scare the poor lady.

Great pics! I do look forward to working with you on another once your swear jar fills up again :jammer:

Yes Jethro... my wife convinced me to go fetch our two early twentysomethings who are going to the UofA and Macewan University. While driving, in my mind I was thinking nobody came and fetched me when I was trying to get home for Christmas at that age. I do remember one particularly nasty trip in my Honda Civic back around '89 or so where my wife and I had to bunk in for the night in Meadow Lake because they ended up closing the roads.

How do people get that ugly weather driving experience if they have a chauffer?

And my wife demanded we put studded tires on her Focus so she would be safer in the city.

Anyway, I needed to pick up a few things... and did pop by a leather store while I was in, but driving in the city was ugly! With me on my shop most everyday, I hardly drive much these days.

I feel like I am a pretty good winter storm driver... many years in Manitoba as a tv cameraman commuting daily between Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. Arguably can be one of the stupidest stretches of winter road in the country. This was before everyone had AWD Sport Utes like we do now.

Last night as soon as got home I self-administered two fingers of calming amber medicine

I'd love to put a strap on your treasured yella strat or that goldtop. Before going the custom route I usually suggest picking up an offering from the store to see and test what I'm about, but some folks just jump right into the deep end with a tooled custom, like @LiveeviL2000 did. It's a leap of faith, but one thing about being a forum/community member is you know I'm not out to get myself banished or whatever due to underperformance in the fulfillment dept. I approach it as if I was making a strap for my very own gat-slinging brother, (who I've done several for too).

My aim is to move at least four or five straps a quarter here on TTR to continue supporting this forum with advertising. It's not a huge amount but it adds up over a year, one of the very few places I do drop a few hard-earned bucks. Word of mouth on the web, and earning/encouraging wonderful posts like this one (here and elsewhere,) is largely my advertising strategy because I don't have the margins Big Strap has, or like one other who gives away three "preferred customer bonus" shorty straps when you buy one etc.

The one thing, many TTR members will attest, once I can a user under one, chances are they may be ruined for other brands, because they are quite different in a practical way.

Respectable indeed...

I've still got the strap I made myself in 1980. It's made to fit a Stratocaster. No buckles. Just a strap and two holes, punched with a claw hammer and a .38 Special cartridge case.

I'm very reserved and introverted. My Mom once got me a strap with my name on it and I could never overcome my embarrassment to wear it.

I would really have to think about this one.

The Les Paul does need a wide strap. I'm using a D'Addario adjustable leather currently.

Maybe I'll PM you about this.

There are a few sayings I really believe.
Go big or go home.

Jump head first into the deep end, you’ll hurt you head in the shallows.
And my favorite.
If you’re going to be a bear, be a Grizzly.

I always go for it when I see something I like.
