but it actually bloody well works --- and -- frankly i could BEAT A PEAVEY TO DEATH with a Sonnex -- might break the neck but the body.............wont even SCRATCH!

speaking of quirky Norlins---- o.k. Smitty -- its your fault
NOT ONLY did I pull the Ferrari Red SONEX 180 "Deluxe" --outr of mothballs---I hooked a cord to the lugs of the Peavey Bandit 12" speaker ---and i have been having a GD BLAST playing all these small amp heads (and the MESA) through the 12" Peavey speaker------ the amount of chug that can be dialed in ----- is STELLAR-- I can FEEL a gut punch chug at Vol 5 from the Fenders Marshall model -- and volume 7 from the little Marshall LEad 15 head....................

the MESA still has to be attenuatted or it blows you across the room....................................................................................having a FOOGIN BLAST!@

A little info on the SONEX 180 DEluxe....
he is WRONG about the pickups-- they are Bill Lawernce VELVET BRICKS -- and they are (IMHO) better than the Dirty fingers-- IF you want ---- KISS tone-period--
--- this thing through a MARSHALL everything dimed-- is Detroit Rock Cioty tone....period

Yah, there's a story there. It centers around the fact that for some reason this is my wife's favorite of all my guitars. No, she doesn't play, but she loves the look of this one and it's the only guitar I own that she was with me when I bought it.

NICE DAMN SG DUDE----
I have THIS quirky SG --- "All American" SG 1 --- in merlot burst---- (its rough.....beat to poop....abused...--not by me the P.O.) it needs a TON of TLC ---but----Im affraid to change a damn thing because --- it just sounds like PURE VENOM

its stupid simple-- almost "JR"-ish (coil split switch) -- Louisville slugger neck (normally I HATE--)but the tone the AMAZING tone this thing MAKES forced me to PLAY THROUGH THE PAIN (not kidding) and force myself (slowly over weeks) to play on a thick neck ..........and it is 110% WORTH it

Neither am I, really...it’s one of the first Gibson models I ever laid hands on as a kid...different color...I would love to get my mitts on a player from that run.

My first Gibbo was a white (not stock) SG with ---either a Kahler or Floyd -LOCKING NUT trem-- dont remember (I did a lot of drugs back then) -- but --- I do know it was AMAZING (or it was poop--- and uhm DRUGS) --- got it in trade and cash deal--- (it was deamed a "HACKED P.O.S. but the "faithful" ) and thus began my lifelong addiction to all things QUIRKY and odd guitar wise
