This is the first of a few New Gear posts I will be putting up in the near future.

Today I just received my Behringer EQ and Fuzz.
From what I have seen from reviews and you tube sources. These pedals are really faithful clones of their BOSS pedal counterparts.
At $20 to $25 each, if they are half as good as they say, it’s worth it. I haven’t unboxed them yet. I am enjoying my Sweetwater Candy first.
Reviews and observations to come … after I savor my sweetarts!

The Super Fuzz is pretty legendary by now. It's basically the best FZ3 clone around. Sounds identical for the most part.
Just started playing around with it.
First. It’s made of plastic but in no way does it feel flimsy.
The knobs are nice and firm. You won’t accidentally knock them around. It’s the same shape and size as a BOSS pedal.
It has the following knobs. Level, treble, bass, gain. Straightforward. Except the gain turns into a boost control in boost mode.
So far. After my candy sugar rush.
I played it through the front of my DSL40 set up glass clean. Using my Fender Showmaster with SD 59 neck and Pearly Gates+ on the bridge.
Turned it on and it gave me a really nice fuzz sound after I tweaked the controls. Sounded better on the neck pup.
It has 3 modes.
Fuzz 1 - standard fuzz - sounds pretty damn good.
Fuzz 2 - scooped fuzz - I really dig it!
Boost - I didn’t expect the amount of boost that came out of it. It wowed me. More accurately I jumped out of my skin. But it kept the signal clean. No buzz. No hiss. No distortion. Just a big ol boost. Now I need to find my cats!
Most review knock it for being made of plastic. I don’t think that’s an issue. As I said, it feels sturdy.
My only knock and this is me really picking. The battery access is a pain.
You need a ballpoint pen to push in the pins on the side of the pedal to lift the battery cover. Picture like a boss pedal except you lift it by the pedal hinge.
Is it worth the $20. Hell yes!
Next I’ll test it in the pedal train. See what it does.

Now for the EQ.
It does a fine job.
Here’s the good. It’s a 7 band EQ. Looks exactly like the BOSS EQ and it does what an EQ should.

Here is the bad. The sliders do feel cheap. When you slide them they don’t glide as you would expect. Also to set it to unity is a pain. There isn’t that “click” when you push the sliders to 0. You kinda have to eye it.

Can I shape my tone? Yes.
Can I use it as a boost? Yes.
Does it hiss when you boost the high end. Not that I noticed.
Is it worth $25, yes. If you need an EQ and don’t want to spend a ton. This is a great deal.

Hmmm....

I think you've got me sold.

Cheap food for thought.

For the money, it does a fantastic job.
And it’s an EQ. It will last forever. It’s not like you are stomping on it. It’s a set it and forget it box.
Matter of fact, when I power my board up, it defaults to being on. I have yet to touch the thing since I set it.
Lol, stop it!

Ok, ok, I'm ordering one today. Thanks for the post, definitely convinced me.

Congrats on your new pedals Live, I haven’t had a fuzz pedal since the 70’s
I used to have a Big Muff in the 1970s.
When I was a kid I thought that was the coolest.
I used to drool over the electro harmonix catalog when I was 12 years old, because if I could buy one I would sound like Jimi Hendrix.

That was before pedals had power supply jacks.
Everything ran on batteries.
The battery was 1/2 the reason I finally stopped using it.

Hey. Theres only room for one salesman here! LOLOLOL!!!!

But seriously, you had me at cooks dinner. :ROFLMAO:

Impressive. I looked it up.

A modeling effects processor equipped with a dual DSP unit. It offers more than 9 simultaneous effects, 244 effects, 64 amp models, 60 cabinet simulations, over 100 pedal models, 198 presets, or the ability to simulate microphones and their positions. It also has 24-bit signal processing up to 120 dB S / N, HoTone editor, drum machine with 100 patterns, integrated looper with 120s recording time or Black Tech acoustic guitar simulation.

But I think you made up the cooks dinner and hot sister thing. I didn’t see it anywhere in the specs.

Mine was a very cheap orange in color, looked like a wha pedal, but when you pushed it down all the fuzz in the universe was at your disposal.
I quickly stopped using it, and I thought it was a waste of my money,
