How are you planning on using it, direct or through an amp?

How are you planning on using it, direct or through an amp?

Direct, mostly, but I’m interested in how it sounds through a speaker. The Katana has a Power Amp In that bypasses everything but the power amp, and I want to experiment with that, too.

Sadly, it doesn’t come with the required power supply, and Amazon was gonna have one here today, but they’re screwing up again and it’s still not marked “Out For Delivery” at 2 PM, so even though it says today, I know they’re not coming. Now I have to drag my ass out to Bananas and buy an overpriced Boss unit or something, and send Amazon’s back to them. Nertz.

After watching this video what it does not do what a Dumble ODS amp does some call it note flipping or note bloom where you use finger vibrato
to kill the sustain other than that it sounds usable

That should be fun through the Katana. I have a couple pedal preamps I would like to try that way through different amps.. Worked well through the Yamaha 100HD head.

Well, getting a decent recorded tone is my prime directive. The only mic I have now doesn’t work well with a guitar cab, and the Katana’s direct outs sound like ass.

I think this is a good one too. Video is on the long side, could use more examples of lead style playing, but some very nice details on using a phone app for some tasty fine tuning…
