No Valves..No Modeling...You Be The Judge!

I used this ghetto practice rig for about a week between my Mustang I breaking and my AX8 arriving. I was almost afraid the AX8 wouldn't stack up to the JTM 45 type tones I got out of this setup.

And just this week I ran my Tech 21 British pedal straight into my QSC K8 (as the T21 is designed to do) with the same spectacular results as always.

I AM a bit spoiled by the AX8, but I am confident that a Tech 21 Fly rig with a few of my favorite pedals would keep me happily entertained for a good long time.

Even with all of the options the AX8 offers, I still like to mix it up from time to time, for perspective as much as anything else.

I recorded this today using the looper function on the AX8 and the Friedman BE model with some tremolo, a very little bit of reverb and delay, and my Rangemaster clone for a lead boost. Using the '59 ES 335 RI. Apologies for the lack of talent. :p

I need to go listen in person and put my ear on it -----to real HEAR the TONE it makes..........

She's very astute. Very technical...but that tone is perfect. Its album quality...
