Kind of.
Yosemite is short for Yosemite Sam, as when I was redoing this amp I had a case of the frick'n, freck'n, frack'n going on more than once, but resistance was futile - lol...
Mega-Maggie has been completely over hauled and while it maintains the original circuit it also goes Mega (louder and more open) at the flip of a switch or two or three. It has also be made pretty much hum free (these are known to have a hum source from the glow light). I wanted glow, but no hum, so added a big ole shield type thing. They (mp4's) appear to use the same output transformer as their siblings the MP3/MP5, but didn't use the second tap. So, I added an impedance switch and a second ouput jack in parallel with the original output jack to take advantage of the 4 ohm and 8 ohm output taps to allow more speaker cab options. So, it's still the Maggie MP4, but goes Mega

Cool stuff! I love Magnatones.
My oldest amp is a Magnatone; it's got the coolest vibrato of any amp I've ever had.
They're building them again now, would love to try out the new models. One of these days.

I find it interesting they both have what appears to be the identical models---sizes...shapes etc. yet--- they play bass/guitar---same number and style and size of amps------

Yes, & also empty headcab/chassis units. I've read on an amp building forum where people have scored used empty headcab/chassis units for amp builds. The only thing that actually is hooked up & works in them is the indicator lamp. Cheers
