Mark, my dad had a similar no suffering end. He and one of my sisters went out to dinner, then they went back to his house. He went into the bathroom and when he came out he had a massive heart attack and died in his own home. Not so great for my sister but dad passed peacefully in his own home. He had asked me long ago that if he ever had to be hooked up to a a machine to live would I pull the plug for him. Glad it never came to that.Liveevil, Greg, Smitty, CG, 4406 Thank you all too.
Now I am undertaking the logistics of the aftermath. I am blessed to have experienced minimal sorrow, but thanks instead for the merciful way he passed with transitioning from essentially normal fully fed breakfast and lunch, talks with the medical staff, watching TV and then he was gone. No Suffering.
