Marantz PM8006 Integrated Amplifier with New Electric Volume Control and Phono-EQ for Vinyl Playback, Connect Multiple Audio Sources

The PM8006 integrated amplifier is perfect for audiophiles who require both music quality and flexible operation. The PM8006 offers a powerful 2x 70W into 8 ohm build, while the symmetrical circuits provide optimal imaging. To ensure the most immersive musical experience, the amplifier uses new Marantz-designed electric volume control and Marantz Musical Phono EQ preamp stage, created to obtain the pure signal from beloved vinyl by minimizing noise levels. To further remove interference, new isolating feet are used to support the amplifier, combining high density and a damping fiber.

The PM8006 also includes preamp outputs along with a power amp direct input, allowing you to use the unit as a standalone power amplifier for integration into a multi-channel home theater system. For precise sound tailoring, our triple tone control system provides separate controls for the bass, midrange and treble. The elegant remote control features an ergonomic layout for easy operation, and can control accompanying source players.

Key Features:

  • Electric volume circuit
  • Exceptional Marantz Musical Phono EQ stage
  • Marantz proprietary HDAM-SA3 circuits
  • Triple layer bottom plate
  • Gold Plated Inputs/Outputs incl. Phono (MM) input
  • Double shielded Toroidal Transformer and high quality customized components
  • High quality, original Marantz SPKT-1+ Speaker Terminals (A / B switchable)

Doing a little system upgrade and decided on this bugger. I really dig the metal front plate and heavy duty custom Marantz speaker terminals.

Not actual pics as of yet, Fyi. Should arrive early next week.

That’s name I haven’t heard in awhile. Was seriously desired back in the day.
It's still going just as strong; however due to the internet and times the European market has moved in pretty strong with names like NAD, Cambridge, Rotel, etc. ...some giving it some good competition.

Thats really nice .
Thanks, Johnny.

It’s got an effects loop ! :rolf:
Indeed! Couldn't go without my pedals! Lol.

What’s the Network Audio In used for?
It's all terminology. I don't care for that actually and like it more like the one I have at home now: Reads "Aux1", "Aux2", etc.

They are all the same analog inputs with exception of the "Phono" which has a built in phono amp. It's really the only one that needs distinction.

To me that terminology can make an amp look real dated when if the simple word wasn't there it would look much better and current. I'll technically be streaming locally into the amp via my streamer hardware (WiiM) that will analog out into "Network" only because it seems apropos.
