Nickel covered pups would look good. Do you have any experience with those Seymour Duncan pickup combinations that you mentioned?

I don't have any experience with those pups, hence my question. In the past, several individuals here have commented on them though.

Mine came with the same pups. I did not like them at all in this guitar. They seemed very bright. I had PRS VB/HFS, Tom Anderson PH (humbucker sized P90s) and now Tom Anderson H1 and H2 humbuckers. The last set of Tom Andersons really did the trick for me. I love the guitar

What do you guys think about nickel covered pickups in this?
Maybe a SD '59/JB or Jazz/JB combo?

I might be a bit biased but the SD '59 is a great sounding pick up which I have in the bridge position of my Godin guitar. It has that classic PAF sound to it and I find it very well defined in sound and tone. Setting the pick up height adjustment is also a factor in how the pick up will sound. I've also heard good reviews on the JB/Jazz combo but never had any experience with them.

Mine has a push-pull volume pot that coil splits the neck pup and a push-pull for tone that splits the bridge pup.

Yep it’s a cool splitter. I bought it used off eBay, it’s a CS. Forgot what year, but some where in the 90s.

Well boys, some news!
I was offered a price for this Tele that I just could not pass up so she is GONE!
Yup, sold to a buddy of mine. In all honesty, he will get much more use out of it than I and I didn't mind taking his cash!

As a result, though, I am Tele-less. At least for the time being.
