Nice Run Through of a Dumble OD Special

Neat. Slightly disappointed since I was expecting a different Mick Taylor when I read the title, haha. But very cool video nonetheless.

I am always interested in these Dumble things because I am still trying to figure out just what it is that the Dumble acolytes hear in them that makes them the grail amp. They sound good, but not breathtakingly great to me (even before you start talking about the price) and they seem pretty generic overall. I've plugged into two of them in my life and keep listening to the clips and recordings and still don't get it but maybe one day it'll click.

(I'll duck now so I don't get hit by the Dumble flamethrowers)

I listened through my KOSS Pro 4A headphones and must say the although the clean does sound great, so does the clean on my Mini Rec.
As far as price goes, there is a lot of internet snake oil that controls that I believe. Also the low number of them available.
No flames here, I am in agreement.

A somewhat historic one, used alot in Hollywood. Also hear a Tele doing some sweet jazz riffs.

Very nice. What I hear coming out of the Dumbles is some very sweet and fat tones that never get muddy... whether Clean, or in Overdrive. Then there's that "Blooming of the note" thing that the Dumbles do so very well.

They do do the "blooming note" thing well, but the best I have ever heard do that trick is Budda amps.

I worked with a fellow today playing a Fuchs amplifier - said to be a Dumble inspired unit???
