Nice grain

Very nice!! I did not know you built guitar bodies. Please post pics!

Haaa, I didn't know I built guitar bodies until I saw that timber.
We all have a first this or that and my first guitar body is hidden in the above photo.
I do have a friend who does high quality shop fitting (counters, display walls etc) with a professional workshop. When it's the time for precise neck joint I'll involve him but do as he says, not get him to do it.
At this time, early days, I'm thinking double cut, chambered, bolt on neck. Keep it simple. Strat or Tele neck with Malcolm Young Gretsch shaped body.

That is a worthy adventure!

That is some nice looking wood. I was in a small guitar shop in NY a while back that specialized in making guitars and amp cabinets from reclaimed wood from old barns, etc.

NICE WOOD Gasket--- I await the build thread with much anticipation.......perhaps an offset Jazzmaster style?

My oh my, that's beautiful wood.
Cypress is a popular outdoor wood here in the swamps of Florida, due to it's natural resistance to rot.
I recently replaced my porch ceiling with knotty cedar which has similar qualities.

Looks much better than the sagging 25 year old drywall that was out there and now the porch smells great as well.
Takes on a beautiful golden color in the evening with the lights on.

Looking forward to your future projects with that stuff.

Nice wood, man!!
That sounds so odd to say....

I see a Tele in the tea leaves.

@hack - Looks great!
That red cedar tongue in groove is great stuff.
I did one whole wall at a 45° angle in the living room of my old house and it was really nice.
Rustic but still neat.
