So, this was listed on fb marketplace for well under half what they're currently being listed for (they're no longer in production), which is $400-$450 USD. I bought for $150.

Wow. A full model name that requires FIVE words! Here's the official spiel:

Squier Paranormal Cabronita Telecaster® Thinline

Maple Fingerboard, Parchment Pickguard, Lake Placid Blue

The Cabronita Telecaster® Thinline brings the Tele® a step beyond its 1950s roots into a Paranormal realm. Featuring dual Fender-Designed alnico Jazzmaster® single-coil pickups and Cabronita Tele styling, this semi-hollow model provides versatile tones perfect for a variety of musical settings. Further player-friendly callouts include a string-through-body bridge for solid string stability, a slim “C”-shape neck profile for easy playability and a gloss neck finish for a slick feel.

Never had Jazzmaster pickups before. One of the tuners is slightly fecked up but probably still functional, sfaict, and if not can always be replaced if necessary.

Just did a quick test of the Cabronita with the Jazzmaster pickups, with my little Super Champ XD. Me LIKEY! Will have to play with lots of other amps and at higher volumes, and in band sitches, of course, before coming to any final conclusions. But initial results are VERY promising.

That is proper in my book !

Now that we've cleared up the socks thing, where's your top E string? :)
It didn't have one when I bought it. The seller was a real Bocephus, from out in the sticks. They drove into town in an El Camino, fittingly enough. I'm not sure he knew anything about guitars or how to play them. The price asked tends to indicate that as well.

I've since put one on. ;)

Lovely! Curious, though - how loud is it actually unplugged? I've played a few semi-hollow guitars and they seem to vary quite widely. My Gretsch is nearly like playing a tame acoustic.
