So this JUST came in the mail and I have yet to plug it in. first off, the Washburn gig bag is the highest quality gig bag I have ever seen so far. specifically molded for this beast of an axe with even a strap to secure the neck. it does come with allen wrenches, the bar for the tremelo, and ddario XL strings 9-46... .009's arnet my thing as they feel too light but for now they'll stay on. at around 7lbs...this guitar feels light, perfect for my back tonewise, we'll have to see how it stacks up. The seymour duncan blackouts are direct mounted to the body combined with a Floyd Rose Special bridge that is free floating. It has the buzz feiten tuning system which is supposed to keep this axe perfectly in tune and intonated all across the 24 frets. the action is buttery smooth....this was meant to shred, dear god i thought i was going to break a string doing a bend. The neck is high gloss which im not too hip about BUT i never had that slow me down before the way the heel is, once you get up to the upper fret access area it fits comfortably in my hand but when it comes to the thumb, feels a lot like going high up on a les paul. as far as over all look, i see no issues or defects! Time to plug her up!

Well unfortunately, today I won't be able to post up a video as I really don't have time to retune it and all. But I can tell you that the guitar plugged in is FREAKING SWEET! Still not sure if I want to drop it all the way to C or keep it in E standard. So as I said in a thread a few days ago, the pickups are swapped around, the bridge pickup is in the neck and the neck pickup in the bridge. so across the board, tonally this sits in between my jackson dinky with the EMG 81-85 and my Richie Faulkner V with EMG 57-66. The Seymour duncan's in this position are FAT sounding despite the guitar being light it can get down and dirty with no issues what so ever. The nice thing is, when switching the the neck pickup, it still comes out with a deeper tone, but it does not get muddy at all VERY useable for heavy rhythym around the 1-5 frets without getting too bassy. the Sustain is incredible as the floyd rose as a brass anchor and then the pickups being active, this guitar wants to sing. tuning stability, i mean the strings are brand new, it's been in the cold, and it was still adjusting to temperature inside, so i did have to readjust tuning every so often but at the moment, im blaming that on the temperature. Overall, im very happy with it and it will definitely be used in a recording very soon.

Ok, put on new strings and tuned down to E flat. so heres me breaking in new strings with what i use for warming up.

That is one hell of a warm up routine.
Excellent work brother, my old buddy Delfin had a custom built
Explorer with the same paint job.
