NGD the Chili way. '07 Faded V

Nice, Chili. I'm not normally into V guitars but that one one is extra cool. The minimal and vintage look to it is what does it. Again, beautiful!
Thanks Sapient. I began my guitar fandom from the guitars my heroes played. Page, Townshend, Perry, Whitford, Frampton all played LP's. My first guitar was my circa '79 Black LP with T top pups. However, the first guitar I tried in a music store was an Ash 3 bolt Strat. My first guitar I took lessons on was a 70's Yamaha with action so high that I gave up lessons till getting the LP.

Over the 45 + years of enjoying Rock music, I became enamored with LP, Strat, Tele, SG, Gretsch, Byrdland, ESxxx, Explorer, Hamer, Kramer, ESP, Jackson and yes V players.

So, naturally after owning versions of many on my list, a V earned it's place on my list of ones I wanted to play as well. Reality is here x2 for me in my Jackson RR3 and my Faded Gib. The V story continues for me.

@jtcnj, the neck is medium. Not slim, not fat, I would say kinda D shape. I can sure put my contour gauge to it and compare to my GIB LP and Faded SG which as I said elsewhere are virtually the same contour where I measured them at 1st and 12th frets.

Thanks, I have some DeOxit on hand, I am pretty sure that Smitty would back me up, Bournes pots are amazingly free and easy to move. I have never had any trouble with pot Strats as far as hitting and knocking the volume one like you and EsGee ( Adrian)

For you and or almost any of our guys who DON'T have a Faded V like from the early 2000's like BastardDon, Headache, fitz, ME, THESE cherry V's are sick. Also, Mitch has a White V that is likely as killer as our red ones are. I already know that every video I have seen him playing it gave me V gas. Thanks to Mitch, Bdon and all you guys for pushing the plunger on the syringe. Don't tell anyone, but I will likely be adding a few more like Mitch has to choose from. He already knows about a certain Strat type guitar that is currently available near me that I want to go look at too. HINT HINT

Looks like Adrian Smith’s? I would definitely own that !

Happy New Flying V Day, Mark!

Try some Deoxit on the pots. It has a lubricant. If that doesn't free them up some, try one drop of 3in1 oil on each pot. One of my old teachers swore by the stuff.
Thank you brother SG John, I will hopefully be using it a ton and falling in love with it the same way the famous guys who preferred V's did, and our brethren here ( we know who you guys are)

It already feels like a comfy pair of work pants to me, but sounds way better.
