NGD Ships Tomorrow

Well, after waiting almost a week, I got the Tele today, it's great! FedEx is so slow lately and there was one small problem (see picture.) Don't know how that happened, I informed my rep at Sweetwater, so we'll see what happens. Otherwise everything else was great, guitar plays great, sound killer! I'm happy! :)

Yikes! Hope you get that sorted. Otherwise, it looks pretty nice.

I was told by one of the fedex drivers that "the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing right now, especially at the main Memphis facility." He said he's really surprised that anything is getting delivered these days. A couple of weeks ago, I had to two laser heads come from Japan. One was two days early, and the other a week late. Of course, our factory in Japan scheduled the tech to arrive expecting both heads to already be at the customer's site.

Bad 55 point inspection :BH:
54 out of 55 ain't that bad...

But seriously though... @guitarweasel : Too bad about the headstock damage on what looks to be a very sweet looking guitar. One option is to have Sweetwater replace the guitar immediately with a brand new one and with the same features of the original deal. However, if you insist on keeping the guitar as is, I wonder if Sweetwater would offer any compensation for the damage even if it wasn't their fault. I'm also assuming that FedEx will accept responsibility for the damage and compensate Sweetwater... :hmmm:

Too bad about the blemish; that's more than just a minor ding.
Agree that it adds personality though, and it won't interfere with playability.
If I liked the way the guitar feels, I'd probably keep it myself.

Sweet model - always wanted a mahog-necked Fender, it's so much less stiff than maple.

I've got three set-neck Fenders and they do sustain well compared to most bolt-ons.
My liveliest Fender is still a vintage Strat though, a '63 that's downright vibrant.

If FedEx didn't cause the damage, I just wonder how this type of damage can pass through a bunch of people between Fender and Sweetwater before it gets to the customer's hands.
I love Sweetwater, but I had ordered a replacement Tele neck a little while ago and despite all the paperwork specifying a maple fretboard it showed up with a Pau Ferro. They fixed the problem but you have to wonder about some of their eyesight.
