cool Brother that is GORGEOUS!!!! I didnt realize Fender was making guitars in indonesia (Ive had and have several FENDERS made in CHina I LOVE-- as well as MIM Fenders)

the one you snagged looks very similar to the Peavey Generation models of years past

well done man -- congrats

I get it now...
the same factory that manufactures Jackson, Suhr, etc...located at Indonesia.
The issue I had is that the fret locations were a bit off (slightly) when I bought a Jackson Artist.
I could never get the intonation exactly right, it was always a wee bit out no matter.
But Fender QA should be able to sort that I hope.

This is the kind of intonation thing that drives people like Robert and me crazy, but most people wouldn't notice it.
And after all, it is $800 not $4000.
OK so it's not really a Telecaster at all, closer to a PRS than a Fender is.
Bolt on necks do irritate me.
The sound of Ash bodies and maple necks never appealed to me. Too dead sounding, no sustain.
I always thought Fender PU placement was retarded. Too many dead spots.
But mahogany is a different story altogether.
I could care less about coil switches, maple tops, fancy polished finishes.
Seymour Duncan, I never thought his PUs were that great, compared to Gibson.
I would rather they put the money where it really matters - playability.

Well, after waiting almost a week, I got the Tele today, it's great! FedEx is so slow lately and there was one small problem (see picture.) Don't know how that happened, I informed my rep at Sweetwater, so we'll see what happens. Otherwise everything else was great, guitar plays great, sound killer! I'm happy! :)
