Well Sp8ctre has recently posted his PT Apocalypse, this one is very similar

I'm pretty happy with it, and I fitted a ClipLock strap to it as soon as I confirmed that it was all working. Finish etc is lovely. I think the pickups are very hot and maybe a bit fizzy - it's kind of hard to tell using a Mooer Blacknight preamp and Baby Bomb 30 amp through a V30 that still needs breaking in - at least compared to the Bare Knuckle Black Hawks that I installed in my C-6 Pro. Looking at the Apocalypse pickups they don't seem crazy close to the strings BUT I notice that the pole piece screws seem to be wound up very high above the bobbins. I'm wondering if lowering them to level with the bobbins might help. Also I notice neck dive, not mentioned in reviews, but I suspect it might be an interaction between my body shape and posture and the shape and strap button locations on the guitar.

Very nice, and a hard as nails looking guitar; I reckon in a ruck, this new Apocalypse would take your pink SG to the cleaners.

&, I see you're already making excuses to put some BK pickups in... :p You know (like we all do, and then ignore...) that you need to give these pickups a fair chance, a good few months, but I'm not convinced you will; you'll be on that Bare Knuckle website by the end of the weekend!
 
How are you getting on with the neck dive?
It is particularly problematic for me though others seem less bothered by it.

Schecter has a surprisingly playable guitar for a very reasonable price.

It's their cheap 'economy' case ... the normal one has the TSA locks and bumpers on it, it's stronger and bigger and I'd recommend it for flying but I do all of my stuff by car and this is the size that fits in my car.
This is the nicer one.

I've been testing it through my Peavey JSX and lowered the bridge pickup slightly. Then I removed the strings, opened up all the cavities for an inspection, cleaned it, oiled the fretboard with the Fret Doctor oil, and then fitted a D'Addario EXL117 11-56 string set and tuned it to C standard. Intonation is perfect. I think the string tension is similar to the 10-46 set it came with in E standard, so I haven't adjusted the truss rod at all, but I will keep an eye on it over the next few days to see if it settles.

Here are some photos. No explanation needed really, I think it is pretty self-explanatory. The bridge mounting is three screw (plus the two screws at the front of the plate). It has a push-pull tone pot and conductive paint inside the pickup cavities.

Looks great, Dave.

As I you know, I really rate the good Korean made guitars as great value for money - you pay more for a lot less even from Mexico nowadays, never mind a US guitar. So many good points:

- it's a great looking rock machine (or even death grunge doom metal apocalypse machine).
- the board is as dark as ebony (dark ebony as opposed to the lighter stuff seen a lot recently); just looks very nice.
- the cuts at the heel and belly make it look great.
- the compound radius neck, locking tuners and good quality modern individual saddles must make it a breeze to live with and play.
- the electronics look decent.

Now, have you ordered up the Bare Knuckles yet (you know that you will sooner or later, no matter how good the existing pickups are...)?
