NGD - PRS Mira Core

It has seen some action and there are some bumps and bruises but overall in good shape. The setup was awful when I got it and the bridge pickup seemed a bit weak, especially when split. I put in an SD 59/Custom hybrid in the bridge and had a funny discovery.
It turns out the pickups were not the stock PRS models. When I opened her up I found a set of Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs installed. The reason the bridge was weak sounding is that they were installed with the neck Dimarzio in the bridge position and vice versa.
Anyway, I left the bridge Dimarzio in the neck position and have the 59/Custom in the bridge. It sounds amazing!:dood:
New strings are on and the action and intonation setup much better than before.
She is a Rock Machine now!

Ive played several-- I always love them EVEN UNPLUGGED-- and I actually prefer the "satin bodies "

as far as FEEL and vibration through body go-- but that is just me --

but this one----- (played one this color) had me having a CRISIS with my credit card............being an ADULT won out :(

I mine is one of the early ones so it has a toggle switch to split the humbuckers instead of a push-pull pot like the models shown above.
I love the colour of that mahogany one eSGEe.

The pickup combination is pretty wild. Gotta be some special tones coming out of that party! Congrats on your new excellent guitar...

THATS ONE WOW!! guitar Will!! Yea Baby SWEET it Is!! Luv the Hummers and wrap around bridge. Black is nice EH!! keep it clean..:nice_guitar::dance:

Nice one!! I had an S2 Mira for a while (black on black, just like yours) and it was a really great little guitar. I eventually sold it on, just like every other PRS I have owned, because there is something about the "in between" scale that doesn't work for me...which is my failing not the guitars...but I have to say the Mira was by far the best PRS I have had for versatility and comfort.
