NGD: Peavey Predator International Series strat copy

I have the same guitar, color, bridge, p/ups, would you know what year it is?

I am guessing it is 1999-2000. Reason being that the Predator Plus, which looks a bit different with a slightly different body shape and a Wolfgang style headstock, has the same bridge and was only made in those years. I haven't seen that bridge in many Predator photos but it seems to always be in photos of the Predator Plus. I don't have this guitar any more, I sold it to my cousin, who gave it to his son.

Just for kicks I pulled up Craigslist Baltimore and then did a search for Peavey.

Found this pretty 6 string.

1/2 of my gear is from the Baltimore CL...it's been very good to me ..so many meets at Towson GC

Well I needed another 25.5" scale guitar in standard tuning so I scouted around my local Facebook Marketplace and found this Peavey. Asked the guy if he was interested in trades and he responded 'I've always wanted a wah wah' and I replied 'you're in luck!'

My friend Bert gave me an almost new Crybaby GCB-95 with box and manuals in payment for the labour of repairing the electronics in his SG and Telecaster. So I had that laying around and it didn't owe me much.

It came with a soft bag and a set of strings. I ended up using Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings instead though

It was also covered with fingerprints, had a bridge that was incorrectly adjusted, had rusty strings, and a dirty fretboard:

I gave it a good clean, adjusted the bridge and blocked the tremolo with 3mm MDF, tightened a loose tone pot, and fitted a new set of Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 9-46 strings (rather than the Fender bullet strings that came with it). I also added a strap.

I just need to adjust the pickup heights now
Nice score, congratulations on your new to you axe !!

"International Series" are certainly MIK as I recall-- Ive owned many- -they arent bad at all-- most I believe are made in the Samick plant (actually I think 80% of all overseas guitars are SAMICK or were for many years
new tuners would certainly be advised -- get LOCKING ones and WAIL on that tremelo !! ;)

The headstock has no number or info on back( no # stamped), the number is on neck plate, I have seen this bridge on some for sale but never saw a year, very unique, but has those crappy dye cast generic type saddles. I will have to accept that it's a Mik or Vietnam model.

If it has 'International Series' on it then it was certainly made in Asia, not the USA.

Good guitars though, better than a Squier

Schecters are made in Korea and they are excellent, so country of manufacture is not as big a factor as you would think. Gibson are made in the USA and their QC is very questionable.

I would suggest Carl Verheyen's You Tube video on stock Fender trem setup...
