No...this is NOT a new Guitar Day, it's a New Grinder Day! This thing is a beast and it cost me as much as a CS Les Paul!

I will be grinding away in the coming weeks and try to get some knives started before I have surgery.

Here are some pics. If you are a tool guy it should have a great drool factor!

What temp do you heat treat at?

I don't have an oven yet and my forge is to unstable. Heat treat depends on the steel as well. If I'm using 1080 I can
oil quench at around 1500 degrees and then temper the blades in a cheap toaster oven. Two, two hour cycles at 400.

The stuff I posted is all stainless and I'll send those out to a pro. They charge very reasonable fees and the more you
send in the cheaper it is per blade.

I'll be buying a heat treat oven when I sell the last of my spare guitars, but it's going to run me $1700!
