NGD - Ninjaking

Good one! I find something special about the all-mahogany ones; they have a certain vocal quality in the mids compared to the chimier maplecap versions. And I think a one-piece body might even give a hair more sustain. Of course a long tenon neck is part of the magic but they all have that.

I didn't realize they still had the five-way in '98. That's a feature I love but which many hate, perhaps because they find it inconvenient.
Over the years I've become so used to the rotaries in mine that using them feels intuitive and very natural for me.

I don’t have enough time with the 5-way switch yet to have an opinion one way or the other.
So far it doesn’t seem too bad other than it is impossible to tell what position you are in visually. I have to turn the switch to figure out where it is set. Not a big deal as I am not one to be switching pickups during a song and even if I was, once you know where you are set it is easy to count the positions to where you want to be.

Leeds and I both played our new PRS guitars together last night and I have to say that it may have been the best sounding jam night we have had yet! I think it was a combination of great sounding guitars, the familiarity of playing together and the fact that our new singer is gaining confidence with each session.
