OK. Let me say one thing right up front:

I must apologize to Adrian right now as I do not want to upset him or cause any ill feelings!!!

There. Public Service Announcement complete. I really liked the Peavey HP Special Carved Top that I acquired not so long ago. It sounded great both in full humbucker mode and when the coils were split the tones were fantastic. I just didn't get along with the Floyd Rose bridge. If it had of been a hardtail it would have been nearly perfect. Sorry for what you are about to hear, eSGEe!

I sold the Peavey this past weekend. It was the only Peavey that I own. The guy came 50 miles by train to pick it up. I got a really good price for it, probably more than I should have. I have put the funds to very good use though, IMHO. I took the proceeds of the sale and added $100 more Canadian dollars and bought this:

She is a 1998 PRS Standard 22. All mahogany, rosewood fretboard, moon fret markers, locking PRS tuners, original HFS treble and vintage bass pickups and the original HSC.
I got it home, cleaned and conditioned the fret board with lemon oil and threw on a new set of Ernie Ball Power Slinkys (11-48). The condition is amazing, especially considering that this is a 20 year old guitar.

Whoa!!!!
I don't know why that 3rd pic is so huge!!!
Most used PRS guitar that you find have dings and chips on the headstock points. As you can see from the photos, this one has none of that. Other than a nice tarnished patina on the hardware and some light scratches from playing, it is like new.

I have owned several PRS guitars in the past. I had two Santana SEs an a SC245 SE. I also had a 2001 PRS CE22 which I sold to finance the building of my Warmoth Les Paul which I have shown several times throughout these TTR forums.

To me, a PRS has to have a setneck, deep body carve and wrap around bridge. The bird inlays are the ultimate, as is an incredible figured maple top, but not completely necessary in my opinion. This guitar has everything that makes a PRS a PRS!
