NGD - New Gibson Day - SG content

Woooooooooow!!!! Is that finish original??

I was exactly wondering if there were early 60s brown SGs or if it was only an option for custom orders back then

You'll note the similarity between the worn brown finish and an actual 1965 Gibson SG. IMHO... Gibson does this on purpose.
The 1965 was actually cherry red when new, but the lacquer has yellowed and faded and lost
some of its gloss, so that it looks more brown now. If you were in a store that offered new worn brown SGs as well
as vintage models, you could see it with your own eye. I like my worn brown quite well.

Oh, the WAIT

LOVE that guitar. I had a line on that exact model but I foolishly waited too long and lost out, hoping to find another one day.

Ok, here she is:

It came with all the paperwork, both Gibson's and the importing company's.

Came in the right case and box.

Gave it a quick string change and cleaned the frets and nickel parts with Fast Fret.

It's very beautifully finished and since it's a 2012, it already started to get real aged; it looks yellower and more light briwn than it shows in the pictures. The binding is cream colored (aged) and the bridge and pup covers have begun to get some slight tarnish (which I like, it looks better).

Tuners are Kluson:

And here's a couple of pics of what's under the hood:

If it were possible, I'd give you multiple likes!

An awesome guitar, Sérgio. Congratulations!

I need a vibrola, a fringed buckskin jacket and to grow a dropped mustache. The round glasses I've got already.
