I have one. I thought it was better to match the pup rings. What is the official rule on that?Looks very nice. Now, if you could get a creamy/yellow selector switch tip to match the binding...

Thank goodness. I was not having any luck with the strings.
Ever since I rediscovered my Lester, and embarked on my Les Paul Studio project...I haven't been able to shake the bug.
You're doomed. Just accept it. It'll be easier that way!
Black and Gold Les Paul Custom's all had cream switch tips....so I suppose any combination would be good.
In the style of a '59. So here are my thoughts.
Pickups - Nice ....I think? Why "I think" you ask? Well, they are Epi pups, but the when plugged in, they did not work. That's right - no sound. Now this did not bother me because I almost did not even bother to plug it in, but did because I wanted the full experience. It turned out that there was a harness from the 3-way toggle (not from the pups - weird, right). This was wired poorly. I little giggling got it to work for a little while. If I was an excited amateur instead of a dedicated modder, this would have been devastating. Since I was a bit disgusted, the first thing I did was gut it.
I've never seen a plug/connector like that...some kind of Quick Connect???

Yes, it was - I ripped that thing out! Oddly, it was for the 3-way toggle rather than the pups.

I think it was worse. It was wired with tape and even chewing gum, I think! The woodwork on the guitar was really good. even the frets were good and very playable without intervention. But the wiring, well....

Honestly, the guitar plays like a dream now. I wish I could have you all over to jam and see how good these guitars can be.
You know, people teased me for years about my POS Squirecaster, but its really a great guitar.
