Update..somehow this thing worked its way to #1...think i know why. The mahogany body is heavy but balanced....favor heavy Gibsons or in general..like heavy guitars,
The guitar even tho strat shape..it has a Gibson type response BUT,,a big but that almost made me not keep it..i do not like 2 point trem..the sustain of a hardtail is not there...o spent 2 weeks intonating & setting neck relief....as i got to know the guitar ,,the Super distortions make up for the less sustain am used to. So you dont feel the body resonating against you as much but the pickups make up for it. Listening to the recordings..it;s not stratty like my others & am def cool with that, The comfort level on this thing & the neck just fits my hand,,guitar just stays with you if you take a hand off.
The detail & crispness in the pickups is something havn't experienced ..back em up they thicken up dime em..they do not mud or distort..was blown away what the pickup did into a jtm 45..its like the amp jumped up a notch of aggressiveness & the detail in full chords..you can keep a chord together longer under gain..that adds a nice twist in recording..full chords with some more gain than normal...i got very lucky in this guitar & it pointed me back towards the 45 & boosting ...such a clear & nasty combination..the ability to be heavy without so much gain..it seems heavier in a way. Into the 3203 & DSL & VM ,pickups just handle their business no matter what ya ask of em. It clean picks jazz very well also. The Gretsch 2923 & Kramer are a blast together..getting some fresh material goin. Still waiting on 1 more piece of tone puzzle for next batch of songs,,dude shipped it 10 days ago..parcel-ground..in agony over this one..
