NGD I went to the Dark Side!!

Yeah. That’s what I said about both a strat and Tele. And now I have one of each.
Except I HATE Tele shape, particulary the original design with pickguard and the ice picky single coil pickups.
Ucky. Won't happen here.

Doesn't help it sound like a HB though. About 90% of the time my guitar volume is full up. I don't play dynamic bluesy stuff much.,
I can get metal out of my Tele, you just have to back off the volume knob until it fills out. Full volume on a Tele is not your friend unless you're going for twang, which doesn't translate well to gain. You have to approach a Tele differently than most guitars, it's very basic and unforgiving, you have to work with the volume and tone knobs on a Tele to get the goods. :yesway:

Longer scale length aside, I think my collection deserves a Strat.
Neck is a slimmer D neck, noiseless pickups and an HB in the bridge is a must. Locking tuners 2 point trem bridge I tightened up slightly to sit flat on body. It only had a likea quarter step up anyhow.

Finish is called Texas Tea - looks black but get it in the light. Kind of a low sparkle Gold green black! Really sexy. Will do some back pics tmrw, it has a different high fret access. I need to try n make room to set up my other strip light or try to do a ceiling reflection flash. Hard to photograph!

Congrats ! Whole new gear wars coming your way now lol SuperStrat land is wide open choices!!

Life long Gibson Player. Had to gig this year outside mostly. Weather being so variable. My set necks were frustrating me so much, I grabbed a Charvell San Dimas HSS & that led to Kramer Baretta put Dimarzio SD in.

The tuning is locked ! I play every day and am amazed at how you don't have to touch it for days and then it is usually a small turn of the floyd tuner knob

Single coil in neck is incredible to have as a weapon. I lower pickup tad for less attack., playing JCM 800 2204 as my live rig. I have no true clean ,but the neck pup lowered gets me so close. No pedals this round live except Boss MS3 & tuner with used only for 1 reverb & 2 delay settings. The SuperStrat cured all the gig woes instantly. I can run all my tones off the guitar knob and For the Lost album we play in entirety for set 1, is no joke from clean to heavy back n forth for 45 minutes. Now its neck pup & bridge pup flip between them & just play & enjoy vs all the pedals and being stuck near my pedal board whole show.

Enjoy, it has messed my mind up being such a Gibson player all my life , but i understand getting the job done with the best tool available !

I have a few what could be called super Strats now, they just aren't Strats!

Interesting!
But in the end they still look like a Tele....

Congrats on the new Strat
I also love the color, and the humbucker in the bridge.
And to think I always thought you had a Strat
Thanks!
Nope, not an actual Fender with longer scale.

I guess when it comes to a Tele, I hate the shape, the design. Always have.

I do not like them with a goat,
I do not like them in a boat.
I do not like them here or there,
I do not like them anywhere.
I do not like to use for a jam,
I do not like them
Sam I Am....

For the record. No one in this fine upstanding forum will think less of you for purchasing a Strat. Many of us have them and love them.

And I promise….. not one member will say “I told you so” if sometime in the future you decide you can’t live without a Tele….. Not one!!! Maybe 10 or 20……… but not one. :pound-hand:

But not the same as 2 HBs together. I dislike single coils in the bridge.
Well, plus anything that looks like aTele.
Thanks!

I get what you are saying Geoff. And I agree, that's what makes us all different, I don't like Gibbies, never have , never will. Thats what makes the world go round.:)
