NGD - Green Spalted Agile

Ok, so I was wrong when I thought my re-solder fixed the problem. So, at the risk of losing my new ambassadorship with the mistake I made, I will reveal it by way of a Q&A game.

If you have a hum that stops when you touch the bridge, strings or pickup covers, you have a ___________ issue.

If you have a him that begins when you touch the bridge, strings or pickup covers, you have a ___________ issue.

I will get pics going tonight now that it is actually working and I can re-assemble it!

It's sure is a beauty Ray.
I'll let the masses solve the puzzle, I have unfair insider info.
Bet it looks great with the black rings.

You will see tonight. it has black strap locks too! I even added a artistic touch, despite my limited abilities. The pups sound nice!

This baby finally hangs around my neck. I am happy!

Check out the dots I painted on the knobs. I had some neon Testers paint hanging around that I used on my gun sights - it works for guitars too!!

I am also very happy to have some semi-historic 1998 PRS pups in here - thanks Hack!!

If it has a hum that goes away when touching the strings, bridge etc, I would usually think the guitar could benefit from shielding.
If it starts to hum when touching the strings, bridge etc, I would look to the wiring & grounding scheme. Cheers

Thank you dor stepping up, I have to get this off my chest!! As I said, tnis is not boasting since ot come from my own mistake.
1. Likely a ground issue
2. A wiring issue. I cannot say this is the ONLY way you will experience hum when touching the metal, but innp my case, I reversed the tip and sleeve on the output jack. Small errors can result in large problems, and large anmounts of wasted time! Hopefully I have saved someone some time by posting my folly.

I like the green dots!!! Now the question for you is how do you like the LP feel and weight? I have a LP style Agile and want to keep it just to have it, but I still prefer my SG for feel and weight. When my PRS arrives, that may be another story... but for now, Burla is the queen!

I have always felt comfortable with an LP. Also, I play sitting down most of the time. I feel comfortable with a strat and all PRS. However, I still struggle with the way the SG is positioned. The neck, and consequently the first fret, are so far left. It is hard to believe it is a 24.75 scale guitar
