cool good luck with that -- had a simialr issue once with a bass- actually got the shippers $ for the insurance and they DIDN'T require the guitar back-- repaired it and its still in the herd -- basically FREE--

Left clamp on for 8 hours...at the 18 hour point now. The neck is strong. I let a lil glue xtra on it(will remove in about week) Had the whole guitar apart-did frets-went over every inch of this guitar. Strings going on tonite..might do NGD 2nd chance thread. Sorta waiting on this guy to get back to me on a Marshall head-maybe record a clip with it). When the wife can't sing ..start getting a lil heavier & need some firepower..lol

Strange situation.

Always awful when a guitar turns up broken, damaged - I hate buying online or untried guitars (or having guitars sent by mail) for this reason. I have one coming and am not feeling good about it's travels...

But, if you got a free guitar, am able to fix it and it turns out to be a player then you've ended up with a great guitar; even better because you fixed it yourself!
